Our True-To-Portrait process begins with finding the most accurate historical portrait available. For Marcus Tullius Cicero, we referenced authenticated Roman portrait sculptures — the most reliable surviving likenesses of Rome’s greatest orator.
The bust captures the sharp, alert features that defined Cicero’s reputation — the prominent nose, the strong jaw, the lean face, and the focused gaze of a man used to commanding attention. Unlike the original sculptures, we chose to add defined pupils — ancient stone carvings leave the eyes blank, but our goal is likeness to a real person, not a replica of a replica. The bust is finished with a standardized Charcoal Black base and thoughtfully packaged for delivery.
